HUMBLE BEGINING
KN Aluminium & Engineering was established to support its founders and continuously pursue opportunities for growth, aiming to strengthen its presence in Asia.
KN Aluminium & Engineering’s journey began in 1996 when its founder, Mr. Khee Chee Kheong, was first introduced to the shipbuilding industry. After gaining several years of experience in various sectors of the industry, he became a prime contractor for major shipyards, specializing in aluminium-based shipbuilding through his sole proprietorshipin 2005.
In 2012, the company was officially registered as a private limited entity in Singapore, under the name KN Aluminium & Engineering Pte Ltd. This was followed by the establishment of KN Aluminium & Engineering Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia in 2015 and PT Khee Aluminiumindo in Indonesia in 2018.
Mr. Khee recognized the potential of aluminium in the maritime industry and leveraged his extensive networks with local and international shipowners,as well as skilled aluminium craftsmen, to grow the business.
